The No. 6 Kansas Jayhawks are cruising in the Big 12 right now with a 21-4 overall record and 10-2 mark in conference play. They hold a two-game lead of the Baylor Bears in their quest for another Big 12 title as they hit the road to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers. Kansas is coming off their second straight win after getting beat by No. 20 Texas.

They snapped back nicely and took care of business against Oklahoma State and Oklahoma. Albeit in very close games. Can Kansas continue their push towards a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament? Or, will West Virginia play spoiler and pull off a significant upset? Here are the odds for this Big 12 matchup, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Kansas vs. West Virginia Odds, Spread, and Total

Spread:

  • Kansas -5 (-110)
  • West Virginia +6 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Kansas -200
  • West Virginia +165

Total: 146 (Over -110/Under -110)

Kansas vs. West Virginia Prediction and Pick

The Mountaineers looked like a real contender out of the Big 12 after starting the season 13-2 overall. Now, after losing nine of their last ten, West Virginia has plummeted to 10th in the conference at 3-9. Their record against the spread reads much the same after West Virginia went 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games overall. As home underdogs, they are 0-2 ATS and 2-5 ATS against ranked opponents. They cover just 40% of their games overall with a record of 10-15. The Mountaineers' struggles come down to a complete lack of scoring or rebounding.

WVU is the 226th ranked scoring offense and ranks 327th in defensive rebounds per game. Kansas, on the other hand, ranks 13th in offensive scoring and 40th in offensive rebounds per game. Things have only gotten better as the year progresses for Kansas and I expect them to make short work of West Virginia on their path towards a conference title.

Pick: Kansas -6 (-110)
