Kentucky vs. Florida Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for College Football Week 2
By Reed Wallach
Is Florida football back?
Following the team's thrilling win over Utah in Gainesville on Saturday, the Gators have jumped into the AP Top 25 and starting quarterback Anthony Richardson has had the 'Heisman Moment' of the young season. However, can UF maintain their high level of play against an SEC foe in Kentucky, who has a talented quarterback of their own in Will Levis?
This line has been moving in the Gators direction, is there value in the number as currently listed?
Let's break it all down:
Kentucky vs. Florida Odds, Spread and Total
Kentucky vs. Florida Betting Trends
- Mark Stoops is 27-30-1 against the spread (ATS) as an underdog in SEC as coach of Kentucky
- Kentucky has won at Florida just once since 1979 (2018)

Kentucky vs. Florida Prediction and Pick
This number has been climbing towards the Gators following their big win, but this is a different set up than the Utah game. UF goes from slight home underdog to considerable chalk that needs to win with margin.
While Billy Napier called a hell of a game for the Gators and Anthony Richardson was fantastic, this number has shot out past where I see betting value. From wanting to back Florida and lay the points, I think the better pivot would be to use them as a moneyline parlay piece.
There are questions in the trenches on both sides of the ball for Kentucky. Mark Stoops is already shuffling players on the offensive line and the defensive line allowed Miami (OH) quarterback Blake Gabbert to rush for 40 yards on seven carries. Against an SEC team that has a dynamic quarterback in Richardson, this can be troubling for the Wildcats on the road.
Not to mention, a lot of pressure will fall on Levis, who has received first round draft buzz in this spring's NFL Draft, given the state of the running back room. Star RB Chris Rodriguez will be out for this one as he is still suspended by the NCAA due to an offseason DUI and his backup Ramon Jefferson tore his ACL in the opener.
This game may be tight until the end, but I expect the Gators to pull this one out with a physical advantage on both sides of the ball. I'll be keying in on parlays with Florida ML instead of betting the spread.
