There is an abundance of superstar talent on display in tonight’s play-in game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Brooklyn Nets. One of the Nets’ future Hall-of-Famers, Kevin Durant, is coming off an impressive triple-double to close out the regular season against the Pacers.

He is averaging 29.9 points per game and 7.4 rebounds. On the other side of the court, Evan Mobley will be gunning for a big night against the Nets for the second time in the last week. Both players are expected to earn a double-double here according to the odds. But who is more likely to actually pull it off?

Let’s take a look at the odds from WynnBET and pick a side for tonight’s game.

Evan Mobley -120

Mobley has one advantage in this argument as far as I see it. He is running on fresh legs after missing five games due to a sprained ankle he sustained on March 28 against the Magic. While five games isn’t a ton of time to rest up, at 20 years old, he doesn’t need much downtime to get back to 100 percent.

In two games back, the Rookie of the Year candidate is averaging 17.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. He has one double-double in that span after going 18/10 against the Bucks on Sunday in just 23 minutes. His first game back was actually against the Nets where he scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds. A solid return but not enough for a double-double. While it wouldn’t surprise me to see Mobley earn a double-double tonight, I think Durant is the better bet to do so.

Kevin Durant -125

Durant enters this game having amassed two triple-doubles in his last three games. He saw a career-high in assists on Sunday with 16 against the Pacers and is averaging 32.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per game in April. While Mobley might be the best rookie in the league, Durant is one of the best to ever lace 'em up.

He did fail to earn a double-double against the Cavs last week with “just” five rebounds and five assists to go along with 36 points. But, with so much on the line tonight, I think Durant steps up and gets close to another triple-double.
