Kings vs. Canucks Prediction and Odds (LA Taking Night off After Clinching Playoff Spot)
By Matt De Saro
Pacific Division rivals clash Thursday night when the third-place Los Angeles Kings take on the fifth-place Vancouver Canucks. With just two games left in the regular season, the Canucks season is over as they sit with just 89 points. They can catch Vegas for the No. 4 spot but are out of the playoffs either way.
On the flip side, the Kings barely hung on to the No. 3; securing their spot in the Wild Card game. The Kings are two points back from the Edmonton Oilers for the No. 2 spot. But, the Oilers hold the tiebreaker, so the Kings won't leapfrog them.
Here are the odds for tonight’s matchup, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Kings vs. Canucks Prediction and Pick
The Canucks have thrown in the towel with three losses in their last four games after getting eliminated. The Kings, on the other hand, are taking advantage of teams like Vancouver and have won five straight. However, the Kings can’t take over the No. 2 spot fully and are likely to rest up tonight in preparation for the playoffs.
However, it seems the oddsmakers understand the position the Kings are in and have positioned them as underdogs to close the season. The Kings are a better team, but will rest a good chunk of their starting lineup. The Kings also come into this game on the second half of a back-to-back. L.A is 6-1 when playing on no rest, but many of their starters are likely to be out. Furthermore, goalie Jonathan Quick may also get the night off in favor of Cal Petersen. Quick will not play all three quarters if he does suit up.
While Vancouver is dead in the water, a win to end the season would be a nice way to end on a high note. I think they get it done while the Kings rest up.
Pick: Canucks -155 to win
