The Los Angeles Kings took down the New Jersey Devils last night, and now continue their East Coast trip when they take on the New York Rangers on Monday night.

New York has gone 7-3 in its last 10 games, and sit in first place in the Metropolitan Division. Meanwhile, the Kings are sitting in second place in the Pacific Division, three points behind the Golden Knights in first place.

This is a game between the team that I think is being undervalued the most in the NHL in the Kings, and the team that I feel is being overvalued the most in the Rangers. The perfect analytic to display this is CORSI%, where Los Angeles ranks third in the NHL and New York ranks 31st.

The Rangers are both scoring at a higher rate than they should, and allowing fewer goals than they should. There's a 0.25 difference between their goals per 60 minutes and their expected goals per 60 minutes, and a 0.42 difference between goals against per 60 minutes and expected goals against per 60 minutes, both in their favor. Those numbers will likely even out as the season progresses.
