Kings vs. Suns Prediction and Odds: Can Kings Cover on the Road?
By Matt De Saro
The Phoenix Suns will play host to the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday evening at the Footprint Center for some early-season Western Conference action.
The Kings are looking to snap a two-game losing streak after falling to 1-2 on the season thanks to a 119-107 loss to the Golden State Warriors in their last game out.
Likewise, the Suns are also 1-2 to start the season after a crushing 134-106 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers over the weekend. It will be interesting if the Suns can prove that last season’s run to the NBA Finals was not a fluke and turn their early-season woes around. The Kings, meanwhile, will be jockeying for a playoff spot and an early win over a conference rival would be a great way to get back on track.

Kings vs. Suns Prediction and Pick
The Kings are in a tough spot here, heading on the road in the middle of a losing streak. Sure, it’s only a two-game losing streak, but that accounts for two thirds of their entire season thus far. The Kings also failed to cover either of those two losses.
Their last ATS win came in their season opener after beating the Portland Trail Blazers by three as 6.5-point underdogs. While they were beaten by two strong teams in the Utah Jazz and Warriors, things are not going to get any easier from here.
With games upcoming against the Dallas Mavericks, Charlotte Hornets and Jazz, this game will be a great opportunity to get back on the right side before some of the heavy-hitters of the Western Conference come knocking.
Unfortunately, for the Kings, I don’t see this happening for them tonight. I think the Suns have a much better team looking to show the league last season wasn’t a lucky run.
The offense led by Devin Booker, Chirs Paul and Deandre Ayton will prove too much for the Kings tonight. While I think they drop this game outright, I do like their chances to cover the eight-point spread.
The Kings, dating back to last season, have covered nine of their last ten on the road and I am banking on that trend extending into 2021.
Prediction: Sacramento Kings +8.0 (-110)
