The New York Knicks hit the road to do battle at the Moda Center on Saturday to take on the Portland Trail Blazers. The Knicks are coming off a 116-114 win over the Golden State Warriors after losing seven of their last eight games overall. The win leaves NY with a 25-31 record and ranked 5th in the Atlantic Division. The Trail Blazers are in a similar boat having won their last game after losing seven of their last eight as well. Which of these struggling teams can make the most of their bounce-back win and keep the momentum going tonight? Here are the odds for this East vs West showdown courtesy of WynnBET:

Knicks vs. Trail Blazers Odds, Spread, and Total

  • Knicks: -4.5 (-110)
  • Trail Blazers: +4.5 (-110)

Knicks vs. Trail Blazers Prediction and Pick

The Trail Blazers might be coming off an upset win over the Lakers, but the Knicks are coming off an upset win over the second-best team in the Western Conference. If they win here, it would be the first time the Knicks have won back-to-back games since early January. Matchups don't get much better than this as the Trail Blazers have a roster that lacks depth and is also a little banged up right now. The Blazers will be without CJ McCollum, Normal Powell, and Robert Covington who were traded away for scraps last week. The Blazers will also be without Damian Lillard, who is dealing with an abdominal injury. This leaves the Trail Blazers with very little to work with tonight and they might need to rely on their new additions to get them by. The fact that the Blazers are missing so many key pieces will only shine a spotlight on their awful defense. Portland is the 25th ranked scoring defense in the league and 30th in opponent effective field goal percentage. And that was with a full roster.

While the Knicks aren’t exactly a powerhouse team right now, I think they have more than enough tools with Julius Randle and RJ Barrett to get it done tonight on the road.

Pick: New York Knicks -4.5 (-110)
