The New York Knicks' resurgence has continued so far to start the season.

The Knicks have won four of their first five games and have been one of the NBA’s best offensive teams, averaging 115.8 points per game. Power forward Julius Randle has become a force in New York’s frontcourt, averaging 23 points, seven assists, and 12.2 rebounds per game.

Randle is a deep value to win the NBA MVP Award, with odds of +7500 on WynnBET Sportsbook to win the hardware. If the Knicks can keep winning and make a deep playoff run, that value becomes more intriguing.

The New Orleans Pelicans continue to play without superstar forward Zion Williamson, but he should be back in November.

The Pelicans have lost five of their first six, losing their last time out to the Sacramento Kings, 113-109. New Orleans will need Brandon Ingram to continue carrying this offense while Williamson is out; Ingram is averaging 25 points per game.

Knicks vs. Pelicans Prediction and Pick

These are two teams that are trending in opposite directions. The Pelicans are missing their main piece and struggling on the offensive end, while the Knicks have been one of the best offenses this season.

In offensive efficiency, New York is ranked fourth, while New Orleans is ranked 27th.

The spread is a little steep, but I believe the Knicks will cover. The Pelicans have allowed over 100 points in their last two contests and their offense will fail to keep up when they do it again tonight.

I’m taking the Knicks on the spread at -7.5 (-110).
