KPMG Women's PGA Championship Betting Preview: Odds and Predictions
On the heels of the men's U.S. Open, the women are set to compete in their second major tournament of season, the KPMG Women's PGA Championship.
This year's edition of the event will be hosted at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey. It's the first time this course will be hosting a major tournament since the 2016 men's PGA Championship and the first time hosting a women's major since the 1985 women's U.S. Open.
Let's dive into the top 15 odds to win this week's major and then I'll give you my three best bets.

KPMG Women's PGA Championship picks to win
Hyo Joo Kim +1200
Hyo Joo Kim is the cofavorite at this event, but for good reason. She has been on fire lately, with three straight top five finishes. She finished third at the Lotte Open (LPGA of Korea event), second at the ShopRite Classic, and then fifth at the Meijer LPGA Classic. No other golfer in the field will enter this week's major with three straight top five finishes.
Her stats also back up her play, ranking third in strokes gained: tee-to-green and her putting has steadily improved over this hot streak.
Lastly, she has a great track record as major championships. She has finished T7 or better in all five majors, including a win at the 2014 Evian Championship and a T3 finish at the 2021 edition of the Women's PGA Championship.
She's worth her price this week.
Minjee Lee +3300
Minjee Lee might just be the best value bet on the board at 33/1 this week. Her game has been quietly solid in her last few starts, going 2nd, T13, T13 over that span. She also ranks fifth on the LPGA in strokes gained: tee-to-green.
Her biggest red flag is her putting, entering the week ranked 152nd in strokes gained: putting. But, just like the men's game, I'd much rather bet on a good ball striker and hope they get hot with their putter than bet on a good putter and hope they get hot with their ball striking.
Lee also consistently brings her best game at majors. She has finished T3 or better in all five majors and already has two wins, with her latest coming at last year's U.S. Women's Open.
Ashleigh Buhai +3300
This will be the fourth straight week that I've bet on Ashleigh Buhai, but as long as sportsbooks continue to misprice her, I'm going to continue wagering on her. Over her last four events, she's gone 3rd, T7, WIN, then T13.
She also enters this week's major ranking 10th in strokes gained: tee-to-green, eighth in total strokes gained, and seventh in scoring average.
Put some respect on her name. She's deserving of a bet at her current odds of 33/1.
