Surprise! We have a meaningless NHL game to bet on today before the playoffs start on Monday.

You probably thought the regular season ended on Friday, but we actually have one more game to go. The Seattle Kraken and Winnipeg Jets will face-off in a make-up game for a meeting that was cancelled on April 13th due to extreme weather conditions in Winnipeg.

That means we get an NHL game to bet on today! Neither team is in the playoffs, so they have virtually nothing to play for.

Speaking of the playoffs, have you entered the BetSided NHL Playoff Giveaway yet? It's free to enter and there are $500 worth of prizes up for grabs! Check out the details in the tweet below.

Let's check out the odds via WynnBET for the final NHL regular season game.

Kraken vs. Jets Prediction and Pick

The Winnipeg Jets are one of the worst defensive teams in the NHL, and now they won't be playing their Vezina Trophy winner goaltender. Eric Comrie will likely get the start for the Jets tonight, and he'll be playing infront of a defense that ranks 30th in expected goals against and 31st in high danger scoring chances allowed over their past 25 games.

On the other side of the ice, the Kraken's poor goaltending plagued them all season. They ranked dead last in team save percentage this year, stopping just 88.04% of shots on net.

Listen, we have no idea how these teams will react to playing this meaningless game two days after the season technically ended. So, instead of choosing a side, let's just bank on bad defense and terrible goaltending and take the over 6.5 at -105.

Lean: OVER 6.5 (-105)
