The Los Angeles Clippers have won three straight games in the Las Vegas Summer League ahead of their consolation matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers have pulled their best Summer League player Max Christie, which has left first-round pick Jalen Hood-Schifino to carry the load on offense. Unfortunately, Hood-Schifino shot a putrid 3-for-17 from the field in the Lakers’ 100-69 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies in their last game.

The Clippers beat those same Grizzlies by nine points, and they took down the Philadelphia 76ers by double-digits in their last game.

It’s hard to trust the Lakers coming off such a bad performance, but let’s dive into the latest odds:

Lakers vs. Clippers prediction and pick

Somehow, the Lakers are favored in this game, but I think the underdog Clippers are the team to trust.

The Clippers’ first-round pick Kobe Brown scored 35 points in the team’s win against the Sixers, and he may be the best player on the floor in this one given Hood-Schifino’s struggles.

Plus, the Clippers have spent a good chunk of the summer playing with this team – unlike the Lakers sitting Christie – which has helped them rattle off three wins in a row.

After watching the Lakers get blown out by Memphis, I have to fade them here as favorites.

Take the plus money value with the Clippers on the moneyline.

Pick: Clippers ML (+100)
