Lakers vs. Kings Prediction and Odds: Lakers out for Revenge After Triple OT Loss
By Matt De Saro
The Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings square off in a rematch of a crazy game last Friday night. Sacramento ended up winning, but it took three overtime periods to put the struggling Lakers away.
With the victory over the Pistons, L.A. is now 11-11 on the season heading into the Staples Center tonight. The Lakers are currently fourth in the Pacific Division but have struggled a lot this season with wins due to numerous personnel issues. Between LeBron James’ health, Anthony Davis’ mediocre play, and Russell Westbrook's trouble fitting in his new team the Lakers have a lot of work to do to get back into Championship contention.
Things in Sacramento are not going great either. The Kings are 8 -13 on the season and ranked fifth in the Pacific Division after a 128-101 loss to the Grizzlies in their last game. One of the Kings' major issues has been their terrible defense that is allowing 128.7 points over their last three games. If the Lakers are going to break out of their funk, tonight is the night to do it against a Kings team struggling on defense. Keep an eye on the injury report heading into tonight because James is still listed as questionable while Anthony Davis has been upgraded to probable.

Lakers vs. Kings Prediction and Pick
While the Kings lack a productive defensive game, they can keep pace on offense with just about anyone. Their problem continues to be inconsistency.
If the Kings hope to walk away with a win tonight, they have to pick up where they left off in the last game between the two. The Kings lost their follow-up game to the Grizzlies without Ja Morant in a very lackluster performance. I realize that without Harrison Barnes and possibly Richaun Holmes and Maurice Harkless the team doesn’t have all their tools. But all teams deal with injuries so this is no excuse. Sacrament will need a big game from De’Aaron Fox who led the team with 34 points last Friday in L.A.
Even if Fox has a repeat performance, I don’t love the Kings’ chances at home here. Despite wins here and there, they are underperforming across the board. They also struggle to shoot the ball effectively at home, averaging 44.0 percent from the field and 106.8 PPG total at the Golden 1 Center.
The Lakers are a better team and are not going to allow themselves to lose to the Kings again. Especially for the second time in seven days.
Pick: Los Angeles Lakers -4.5 (-110)
