The Los Angeles Lakers are officially eliminated from any postseason or play-in tournament conversation, which means we could see a makeshift lineup against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday.

Los Angeles would be wise to rest stars Anthony Davis and LeBron James, who have dealt with nagging injuries all season, and it has listed both players, as well as Russell Westbrook as questionable tonight.

The Warriors are trying to hang on to the No. 3 seed in the West, as they sit just half a game ahead of the Dallas Mavericks.

Let’s break down this matchup, with all odds via WynnBET:

Lakers vs. Warriors Odds, Spread and Total

Spread:

  • Lakers +12.5 (-108)
  • Warriors -12.5 (-108)

Moneyline:

  • Lakers: +575
  • Warriors: -700

Total:

  • 223 (Over -108/Under -108)

Lakers vs. Warriors Prediction and Pick

The Lakers have lost seven straight games head into this matchup, with four of them coming by double-digits.

Like I mentioned earlier, this team has nothing to play for, and as long as James and Davis sit, I think this is a no-brainer spot to fade Los Angeles.

The Warriors haven’t been as dominant without Steph Curry (foot), but they are still one of the best home teams in the NBA, going 19-16-2 against the spread as a home favorite and 30-10 straight up at home this season.

I don’t see Steve Kerr’s squad letting up in this spot, as the Warriors are trying to stay in the top three in the West to avoid a second-round matchup with the Phoenix Suns.

Lean: Warriors -12.5 (-108)
