Through the first two weeks of the NBA season, I wouldn’t say the Phoenix Suns are the best team in the Pacific Division. Yet WynnBET has the Suns finishing the season atop the division standings.

Phoenix has +170 odds to win the division while the Los Angeles Lakers are at +180 and the Golden State Warriors are at +220.

The Suns are currently 3-3. However, the Lakers are 5-3 and the Warriors are 6-1.

After the first two weeks of the season, there’s no way I would pick the Suns to be better than the Lakers or the Warriors in the regular season.

When it comes to the Lakers, although their flaws have shined through heavily in the first part of the season, the last two games gives me some hope that they will figure it out. The Lakers have the most top-end talent in the Western Conference and I would bet that Russell Westbrook, LeBron James and Anthony Davis can outpace the Suns.

The Warriors, who are going to be my pick to win the division, are rolling and have all the pieces they need to regain their previous form. Steph Curry is still the best shooter in the game and has a much better supporting cast this season than he did last year. The questions we had about Golden State in the offseason are mostly answered right now.

Golden State has the fifth-best net rating in the league (7.8) and has a defensive rating below 100. With Curry elevating the offense and the defense picking up the slack for him, the Warriors are in great sync.

Phoenix isn’t going to be a bad team, but their record is average right now and they have a negative net rating (-3.2). I don’t see the Suns having as magical of a regular season as they did last year, which makes fading them at +170 and taking the Warriors at +220 easy.
