After flaming out in Washington and getting limited interest when he hit free agency, you'd expect former first-round pick Dwayne Haskins to be focused on rehabbing his game and image in his first appearance this season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Unfortunately, even that appears to be too much to ask of the former Ohio State quarterback.

Haskins, who was elevated to the Steelers' active roster yesterday for the first time this year with Ben Roethlisberger out, reportedly looked bad in pregame warmups and was looking at his phone when he wasn't airmailing the pigskin.

Aditi Kinkhabwala is one of the top reporters in the game. She works for the NFL Network and CBS covering the Steelers. She wouldn't report this if it wasn't true, which is a terrible look for a guy on his last legs in the NFL.

Haskins didn't last two seasons with the Washington Football Team after being selected by them with the No. 15 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He was released by Washington late last season for myriad reasons, including a reported lack of work ethic and breaking COVID protocols.

He didn't get much attention in free agency before getting a second chance with the Steelers, who sign him late last year. They kept him around this season as the third stringer behind Roethlisberger and Mason Rudolph, but he wasn't activated until Rudolph was thrust into the starting role and the Steelers needed a backup. Then he goes out there and throws ducks in pregame while looking at his phone? Not ideal.

Of course, we have no idea why he was checking his phone. Perhaps he had the playbook on there and wanted to do some last-minute studying. Or maybe he was changing the music. Either way, this is a bad look for a guy who needs a image rehab to keep his career afloat.
