An era of the NFL is coming to a close this season. All signs indicate that Ben Roethlisberger will be retiring at the end of the year. He'll be the final player to retire from the legendary 2004 quarterback draft class that also featured Philip Rivers and Eli Manning.

With Big Ben likely out of the picture at the end of this season, who will be the starting quarterback for the Steelers next year?

WynnBET doesn't have odds posted for such a thing, so I decided to my own.

Here are my betting odds to be the Steelers starting quarterback for Week 1 of the 2022 NFL season.

Odds to be the Steelers QB in 2022

Matt Ryan +2200

It's an unlikely option, especially considering Matt Ryan is still under contract for two more years with the Falcons, but the Steelers could make a move for the veteran quarterback. Ryan has showed this season that he still has what it takes to be an elite quarterback in the NFL, but the Falcons are clearly in a rebuilding phase and by the time they have the roster to contend for a championship, Matt Ryan will be long gone.

If Ryan wants to win a Super Bowl before he retires, the Falcons might do him a favor and trade him to a team like the Steelers, much like they did with Julio Jones last offseason.

Kenny Pickett +1500

It certainly wouldn't be a surprise for the Steelers to look for a quarterback in the 2022 NFL Draft, and Pickett would make a ton of sense, especially considering he's a product of the University of Pittsburgh. The only problem is he'll likely be selected before the Steelers are on the clock.

Malik Willis +1200

If they aren't able to get Pickett, Malik Willis and Matt Corral could be there for the taking. Willis had a bit of a disappointing season with Liberty, but he still has NFL-level talent. He's not a stereotypical Steelers quarterback, so Pittsburgh may look at someone like Corral instead.

Matt Corral +800

If the Steelers do go quarterback in the first round of the NFL Draft, the most likely option in my opinion is Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral. He fits the build of the stereotypical Steelers quarterback, and could find success under Mike Tomlin.

Teddy Bridgewater +550

Teddy Bridgewater signed a one year deal with the Broncos, so he'll be unrestricted free agent this offseason. He could be the perfect fit for the Steelers for a year or two as they try to address other issues on their roster like the offensive line.

Aaron Rodgers +300

Get ready for another offseason of the Aaron Rodgers sweepstakes. He's hinted at switching teams after this season, and the Steelers would almost make too much sense. They have a playoff caliber roster and a veteran head coach in Mike Tomlin who knows how to win. If Rodgers does move teams, the Steelers seem like one of the most likely options.

Mason Rudolph +150

Let's be honest, the Steelers starting quarterback next season is probably going to be Mason Rudolph. He's been with the organization for a number of years now, and has looked serviceable when he's had to fill in for Roethlisberger. I'd be surprised if they don't at least give Rudolph a chance to start for them next year.
