Lions vs. Seahawks Prediction, Odds, Against Spread and Over/Under for NFL Week 17
By Matt De Saro
While the Detroit Lions were unable to win their second game in a row for the first time this year, they did manage to cover as underdogs. It feels weird to say, but the Lions continue to look better each week and have been over the last month or so. Sure, they are still a pretty bad team, but are they two-win bad anymore? While that may be their season win total when the season ends, they are not playing like a team with 12 losses and a tie.
On the flip side, the Seahawks have been looking worse and worse each week down the stretch. They have lost two in a row to the Rams and Bears and an offseason rebuild appears imminent. The loss to the Bears cemented Seattle as a bottom-tier team and therefore a beatable team by the likes of Detroit.

Lions vs. Seahawks Prediction and Pick
Neither the Lions nor the Seahawks are good teams. Something I would not have guessed preseason that I would be saying in Week 17. With Russell Wison under center, plus D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, this should be a great offense. The trio has underperformed and the defense is the worst it has been in years.
These two should be automatic against most secondaries but they are not playing at the level we have come to expect from them. Ditto for Wilson and Pete Carroll as the entire unit is falling apart at the seams.
Where these two teams differ is that the Lions continue to play very hard while the Seahawks appear to have given up. I’m not willing to bet on the LIons outright winning this game but they won’t make it easy for the Seahawks.
Pick: Detroit Lions +6.5 (-110)
