Your annual backyard Thanksgiving football game will be about as highly-competitive as this matchup between two bottom feeding teams playing out the string. With a combined three wins (and a tie!!) between these two NFC North opponents, Bears vs Lions isn't exactly a playoff preview. But there is one way to make this game more interesting to the casual viewer: bet on the damn thing!

I already provided some prop bets for this game, and one of them spills over to this pick too. So here are the best single game TD scorer props fI'm considering, with odds coming from WynnBET.

David Montgomery -286

Do I love these odds? No. That's why I'm also looking at his first TD scorer number too, as explained in the prop bet story I mentioned earlier.

The Lions give up the second-most rushing yards in the NFL and are 25th in rushing TDs allowed per game. The Bears run for the sixth most yards per game and average just under one rushing TD per game. Montgomery hasn't scored a TD in two straight games and with Andy Dalton starting in place of Justin Fields, I get the feeling the Bears will want to establish the run early and often. Montgomery is -286 to score a TD in this game overall, but I'd rather get him at plus odds and take the risk that he'll be the first TD scorer. This is worth a sprinkle.

He's +325 to be the first TD scorer, but I do think he finds pay dirt either way. Just depends on what your risk tolerance is here.

D'Andre Swift +100

As you can see, I'm thinking this will be a ground affair. Lions RB D'Andre Swift has rushed for over 100 yards in both of the Lions last two games and scored last week against the Browns. With Jared returning from injury, the Lions best hope to win is to get the ball in their best playmaker's hands and let him cook.

The other reason I like this is Swift's receiving ability. While the Bears have only given up one passing TD to a running back this season, Swift is averaging over 5 receptions per game. I could see him hitting the end zone either through the air or on the ground.
