The Cleveland Browns showed promise in the wake of Odell Beckham Jr.’s departure and beat up on the Bengals two weeks ago. I have to admit, I was high on them to continue playing well and winning games. Turns out, I could not have been more wrong.

The Browns followed up their bit win with a massive loss. The Patriots dominated the Browns on both sides of the ball and almost got shut out 45-7. It was a complete shock to me until I realized that those were the Browns I was talking about. The Browns definitely reverted back to their natural state of being terrible and I should have seen it coming.

So, what better way to get back on track than against a team that is historically even worse than you? This is exactly the matchup that the Browns have in Week 11 with the Detroit Lions in town.

The Lions opened as 11.0 point road dogs but that line has shortened a bit to 10.5.  The total opened at 45.5 and has fallen to 43.5 in the days since.

Here are the updated odds for this Week 11 matchup between a pretty bad team and a historically bad team, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Lions vs. Browns Prediction and Pick

Early money came in on the Browns and UNDER and shifted the lines to where they now stand. The winless Lions have one of their best chances to emerge victorious against this struggling Browns team but it is a slim chance at best. The oddsmakers aren’t expecting a win from Detroit after installing them as double digit road dogs and I am even less optimistic.

On a positive note, at least the Lions managed to avoid a loss last week to the very inconsistent Pittsburgh Steelers. However, Jared Goff is day-to-day with an oblique injury and missed practice both today and yesterday. If the Lions have any chance to win Goff must be healthy and at the top of his game. As he is neither, I think it’s safe to continue fading the Lions.

Pick: Cleveland Browns -11.0 (-110)
