The Detroit Lions officially usurped the Atlanta Falcons as the NFL's worst preseason team after Desmond Ridder led the Falcons to a comeback victory last week. Detroit has now lost nine consecutive preseason games and 13 of 14 as it takes on the Indianapolis Colts this week.

Matt Ryan looked sharp in his Colts debut, though Indianapolis fell to the Buffalo Bills after also surrendering a late touchdown.

Each team hopes to shore up its fourth quarter performance, but who has the edge?

Lions vs Colts Prediction and Pick

I don't know what's going on over at WynnBET, but how on Earth are the Lions favored on the road?

Winning games isn't exactly Detroit's forte, whether it's in the regular season or preseason. It feels almost impossible to lose nine consecutive meaningless games, but you've got to applaud the Lions' commitment to futility.

Matt Ryan is one of the more underrated quarterbacks of this era, and the Colts should be thrilled about their prospects for the season. Indianapolis has a sensational offensive line, a strong defense, and excellent depth throughout the roster.

Detroit has none of those things. The Colts should be favored, especially if Ryan gives a few drives to put some points on the board. Enjoy fading the Lions as a favorite - we may not get this opportunity again for quite some time.

Pick: Colts (+110)
