Lions vs. Steelers Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for NFL Week 10
By Matt De Saro
The one positive thing to say about the Detroit Lions heading into Week 10 against the Steelers is that they should be well-rested. The winless Lions had a week off to think about how things have gone so wrong where they go from here. A win in certainly on their mind but at this point that is a pipe dream against a much better Steelers team.
The Steelers have yet to play their Week 9 game against the Bears on Monday Night Football. The AFC North is still very much up and the air and the Steelers will need to win tonight and Week 10 to keep pace.
Whether or not the Lions are rested and plan effectively for this game, the outcome shouldn’t change. Even the Lions on a great day would fall to the Steelers. Can they cover the nine-point spread is the real question.

Lions vs. Steelers Prediction and Pick
Another week and another game that the Lions are sizable underdogs in the opening odds. For a team that hasn’t won a game in quite some time, this shouldn't be surprising. I realize that Pittsburgh has struggled a bit here and there but the Lions are barely even a blip on the radar for most teams.
If the Steelers just have a pretty good game, they will have no problem winning this game. The Lions will be trying anything and everything down the stretch to avoid becoming the first 0-17 in NFL history but don’t have much to fight back with. Jared Goff is a No.1 overall pick, but he is also a warm-weather QB who will begin to struggle more as the temperature drops.
The Lions have a small break considering that the Steelers will be playing on short rest. One thing the Lions have going for them in terms of ATS success is the Steelers have not done a good job putting teams away. The killing blows elude them and they have won all their games by a single possession. This feels like a bounce-back game for the Lions in the sense that they wont get blown out. While it wouldn't surprise me, I feel that this game gets messy and the Lions hang tight enough to cover.
Pick: Detroit Lions +9.5 (-110)
