The Detroit Lions and the Pittsburgh Steelers, who’ve both had interesting training camps, will finish their preseason off on Saturday.
Pittsburgh has tried to figure out its quarterback situation and evaluate the offensive line to protect said quarterback. There hasn’t been much confidence accrued in the process, making this game crucial to the Steelers’ regular season.
As for the Lions, all eyes have been on them since they are the subject of ‘Hard Knocks.’ Detroit is simply trying to improve on last season and make sure that Aidan Hutchinson isn’t a bust.
There’s a lot to look forward to in this game, so let’s dive into the matchup.
Here are the odds for their matchup via WynnBET.

Lions vs. Steelers Prediction and Pick
Maybe I’m just a sucker for narrative television, but ‘Hard Knocks’ has me fully bought into the Detroit Lions. I already thought they’d be an improved team this season, but seeing them on HBO has raised my level of belief even more.
The Lions will be in a similar situation this week as well. They played a rookie quarterback in Desmond Ridder for a majority of the game against the Atlanta Falcons. Kenny Pickett, another rookie, will likely get a majority of the snaps. If the defense can play a complete game, they’ll be able to give Pickett some trouble.
Pittsburgh has also had issues with its offensive line this preseason. Mike Tomlin called the entire line out in meetings, according to several players and himself.
The #Steelers by far have the best skill position talent in the #AFCNorth if not the #NFL.

That said, they also appear to have the worst offensive line imaginable.
Run Kenny, run… #HereWeGo
Until they can get the line fixed, I can’t trust them with a young signal caller on the field.
Lean: Lions ML +155
