LIV Golf Event Odds - Who's Going to Be Competing in First LIV Tournament?
After what feels like years of rumors, announcements, and news, the first LIV golf event is set to take place this week.
In an attempt to give the PGA Tour some competition as a premier golf league, the LIV has come under fire due to controversial funding by the Saudi Arabian government. Their biggest advantage, is the amount of money they have to throw at golfers. While most golfers decided to stay with the PGA Tour and pass up more money to play for a Saudi-backed league, a few big names decided to make the jump.
Most notably, two-time major winner and former No. 1 golfer in the world, Dustin Johnson, surprisingly made the switch after formerly stating that he'd be staying on the Tour.
On February 20, 2022, Dustin Johnson said the following:

On May 30, 2022, DJ is now on the list to play the first LIV Golf event.
Wild.
There was one final spot on the LIV roster that wasn't announced until Monday morning. As many people assumed, Phil Mickelson officially became the final member to join the LIV.
