Liverpool vs. Brighton Prediction and Odds
By Matt De Saro
Liverpool is gunning for the top spot in the Premier League and next on their list of victims is Brighton. The Reds are coming off a 5-0 whopping of Manchester United and trail Chelsea but just one point in the EPL standings. Led by Mohamed Sala with 10 goals so far this season, the Liverpool offense is dangerous and will have a busy day against fifth-place Brighton.
The Seagulls will be looking for their first win in October after a 4-1 loss to Manchester City their last time out preceded by two draws against Norwich and Arsenal. The team will have a target on their heads considering the last time these two teams met, Brighton upset Liverpool and the Reds will likely see this as a revenge game.

Liverpool vs. Brighton Prediction and Pick
The biggest need for Liverpool in this game is to maintain the momentum they have had and try to usurp Chelsea atop the standings. This will be made a bit more difficult due to a recent rash of injuries that have hit Liverpool. Despite this, they took back-to-back wins last week with the blowout of Manchester United following another 5-0 win over Watford.
Those two games were a good bounce-back chance for Liverpool after playing their previous two games to a draw against Brentford and Manchester City. While the team did score ten goals in the last two games, their defense has been a bit shaky aside from those back-to-back shutouts.
Liverpool will be without the services of Sadio Mane, Fabinho, and Joel Matip, and Reds will have to work just that bit harder to beat the Seagulls and maintain their position near the top of the EPL.
The Seagulls have been a bit of an annoyance to Liverpool in recent years and I think this could be the case again this weekend. While I don’t think they do enough to upset Liverpool again, the under 2.5 goals line looks rather attractive.
Prediction: Liverpool vs Brighton UNDER 2.5 goals (+155)
