Liverpool vs Villareal Prediction and Odds (Multiple Bets With Value)
By Joe Summers
We've got a lovely Champions League matchup between two hot teams as 6-0 Liverpool hosts 3-2-1 Villarreal at 3:00 PM EST today.
Liverpool is undefeated in Champions League play while Villarreal hasn't lost in five straight, including winning two consecutive outright.
The defenses have been particularly impressive of late, with Liverpool not conceding a goal in either of their last two matches and Villarreal only giving up one.
These teams haven't played each other this season, can the visitors hang with the class of the Champions League or will Liverpool stay hot in a dominant performance?
Let's check out the odds from WynnBET to help us find out ahead of this Villareal FC vs Liverpool FC Champions League matchup:

Villareal vs Liverpool Prediction and Pick
This should be an excellent matchup between two strong defensive teams, as Villareal impressed in matches against Juventus and Bayern Munich. But Liverpool is a different beast at home and Mo Salah is playing some of the best soccer of his life. I'd really like to pick the visitors to pull off a point, but with how good Liverpool is at Anfield, I just can't do it.
I think most bettors will expect a high-scoring affair today thanks to Liverpool's threatening attack, but Villareal has been pulling off massive upsets for quite some time now thanks to that stingy defense. They beat Arsenal and Manchester United last season to win the Europa League and will be a tough outfit to score on, despite Liverpool's overwhelming talent.
The visitors should try to slow the game down as they have against Champion League giants of the past, and that's going to give the under value. Especially at plus money, I love the odds at under 2.5 goals.
But I also favor the +160 for a Draw at the end of the first half. Villareal's defensive style should frustrate the home squad early on, and while Liverpool's depth should win out in the end, I think they'll require some halftime adjustments to get the job done.
Pick: Draw at Half-Time (+160) and Under 2.5 Goals (+120)
