Logan Webb will get the ball in a win-or-go-home Game 5 of the NLDS between the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
At 24 years & 330 days old, Logan Webb will be the youngest pitcher in Giants history to start a winner-take-all postseason game

Webb pitched an absolute gem in the Giants’ Game 1 win, as he struck out 10 and allowed just five hits over 7.2 innings of work. Webb’s scoreless performance was one of two by the Giants this series, but the team has allowed 16 runs in its two losses.
WynnBET Sportsbook has San Francisco as a slight favorite at home (-106) against the Dodgers (-102) with the total set at just 6.5 runs (Over -125/Under +105).
While the Dodgers are sending reliever Corey Knebel to start in this matchup, I actually think that Webb is the pitcher to back in this matchup.
Corey Knebel will start Game 5 tonight.

There have been three playoff outings ever from a San Francisco Giants pitcher with at least 7.2 innings, 0 runs and 10+ strikeouts.

Tim Lincecum, Game 1, 2010 NLDS vs. Atlanta
Madison Bumgarner, 2014 wild card game vs. Pittsburgh
Logan Webb, Game 1, 2021 NLDS vs. Los Angeles
Webb was obviously dominant at home in Game 1, but he’s been great against the Dodgers all season long.
In three regular season starts against Los Angeles, Webb allowed just four earned runs in 16 innings while striking out 17 batters. He only allowed seven hits as well, holding L.A. to a measly .127 batting average against him.
WynnBET has a player prop for Webb set at 4.5 hits allowed, and I explained in my bold predictions that it’s worth taking the under (+104) in tonight’s game.
Weeb has also been a completely different pitcher at home this season, and I think it’s a big reason why the Giants opted to save him for Game 5 rather than pitching him on short rest in Game 4.

Webb is a whole different animal at Oracle Park this season, and he proved that in Game 1 by feeding off the crowd’s energy.

This should be a great matchup, but I’m going to be siding with Webb to have a strong performance in Game 5.
