On the heels of a Super Bowl title, now comes the age old question for the Los Angeles Rams: what about back-to-back titles?

No team has won consecutive Super Bowls since the New England Patriots in 2004 and 2005, but the Rams are the latest team to try in what is a weaker NFC than in the past. The team brings back Matthew Stafford and Offensive Player of the Year Cooper Kupp on offense while the defense is still built around Aaron Donald.

The top end talent on the Rams remains the best in the league but will their be some fatigue after the Super Bowl run? Los Angeles has been at the forefront of mortgaging depth for more talented players, but will it have diminishing returns in the title defense?

Here is everything you need to know about the Rams this season:

Los Angeles Rams 2022 Schedule

The Rams open the season at home on Thursday Night Football against the Super Bowl favorite Buffalo Bills.

They are on primetime plenty of timems during the season, including Week 4 against the San Francisco 49ers, Las Vegas Raiders in Week 14, Green Bay Packers in Week 15 and the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 17.

The Rams get their bye week in Week 7 this season.

Los Angeles Rams 2022 Win Total Prediction

  • OVER 10.5 Wins (+105)
  • UNDER 10.5 Wins (-125)

My gut says to go over, but this isn't a slam dunk like many would think with the defending champs. Matthew Stafford has been battling an elbow injury all training camp and as I noted above, this team has sacrificed their depth to get some of the best players in the league.

While having the likes of Kupp, Aaron Donald and cornerback Jalen Ramsey, it leaves you vulnerable to a lower floor if players go down. The Rams play a first place schedule this season that is second in the league in terms of strength of schedule, there could be more negative outcomes than many think.

Lastly, the team is transitioning to new faces on the offensive line. Andrew Whitworth retired and Austin Corbett is playing for the Panthers. The team is shallow on the line and leaned on their starters quite a bit. If there are injuries in the trenches, Stafford could be under more duress this season.

Yes, the Rams likely go over this win total as they are in an easier than expected division that should help them pad their win total, but I'd stay away from this win total and shoot for better payouts, as I'll get to below.

LEAN: OVER 10.5 Wins (+105)

Los Angeles Rams 2022 Odds to Win NFC West, NFC, and Super Bowl

  • To Make Playoffs: YES -250/NO +200
  • Win NFC West: +130
  • Win NFC: +550
  • Win Super Bowl: +1200

I noted that I have some concern about the depth of the Rams this season and while they have the talent to go over, I'd rather take a shot at the NFC West odds with a better payout.

This is shaping up for a two team race between the Niners and Rams and I think there is some negative outcomes for both teams that makes 11 wins enough to win the NFC West.

Yes, the 49ers have a talented roster like the Rams, but are still ushering in a second year quarterback who has limited experience. The team is right around league average in strength of schedule and I don't foresee a dominant regular season.

For Los Angeles, the team must battle the second hardest schedule in the NFL, but if they remain healthy, I think they take home the division. This is the most talented roster in the division that has won the division three of the past five years.

I think it's a wiser investment to go for the NFC West bet at +130 rather than take them to go over the win total, I see them more correlated than how they are being lined.

PICK: Rams to Win NFC West (+130)
