Louisville vs. North Carolina State Prediction and Pick
The Wolfpack are the type of team I'm trying to back off of a loss. A lot of unforced errors contributed to the one point loss to Miami last week, but this is a veteran team that still has their whole season in front of them.
Louisville's offense relies completely on quarterback Malik Cunningham to do everything. He is sixth amongst quarterback's in rush yards and gives the team explosive plays with both his arms and legs.
However, NC State is top 10 in defensive success rate, allowing 3.12 yards per carry and are 14th in the country in defensive line yards. On top of that, the team is allowing opponents to convert less than 27% of their third down conversions.
I make NC State nine-point favorite; I'm not fazed by the loss to the Hurricanes last week and expect them to bottle up Cunningham and the Louisville offense.
Louisville's defense does a terrible job up front, outside the top 100 in defensive line yards, and I expect State to pound the rock with Zonovan 'Bam' Knight and Ricky Person Jr. to win by double digits.
Pick: North Carolina State -6.5
