The Louisville Cardinals have been a bit of a disappointment this year with an 11-12 overall record that has them sitting in tenth place in the ACC. They are losers of their last five, eight of their last nine, and haven’t won a road game since Jan. 2. One of those recent losses was against tonight’s opponents, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Irish won by 12 in that game and I am not sure that the Cardinals have done much of anything to get better since.

Notre Dame is on a two-game win streak and has won six of their last seven games overall. The lone loss during that span was to No. 9 Duke. Here are the odds for this ACC matchup, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Louisville vs. Notre Dame Odds, Spread, and Total

  • Notre Dame -7 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Louisville +260
  • Notre Dame -330

Total: 133 (Over -110/Under -110)

Louisville vs. Notre Dame Prediction and Pick

The Louisville Cardinals are in terrible shape right now and have lost five straight games heading into this matchup. They were beaten down by Syracuse and have looked just as bad with the interim coaching staff as they did under Chris Mark before his firing. They are 6-16-1 against the spread and have covered just one of their last 13 games back on Jan. 19. Their issue continues to be a complete lack of offense. They are shooting under 50 percent from two-point range and under 33 percent from three-point range.

On a positive note, Malik Williams, the teams’ leading scorer, is expected to return from a two-game absence due to a suspension. He is their best player and will be a welcome addition back to this struggling offense.

The Irish, meanwhile, continue to march toward the NCAA tournament and are making a run at the ACC title. While their ATS record of 11-11 is not all that impressive, they match up well against the Cardinals here. They are shooting almost 52 percent from two and 36 percent from downtown. This is a game that Louisville needs to win to continue to stay in the hunt for a conference title and I think they do just that. The Cardinals just can't seem to get out of their own way and I can't trust them to do anything but get beaten up again tonight.

Lean: Notre Dame -7 (-110)
