LPGA Dana Open Betting Preview: Odds and Predictions
After back-to-back major championships, the latest of which was won by a 90/1 longshot in Allisen Corpuz, the LPGA returns to the suburbs of Toledo, Ohio for this week's Dana Open.
Despite the event taking place directly after back-to-back majors, plenty of the top names in women's golf will be competing this week.
Let's take a look at the top 10 odds to win the event and then I'll give you my three best bets.

LPGA Dana Open Picks and Best Bets
Carlota Ciganda +1600
Carlota Ciganda is the perfect mix of great course history and strong form in recent events that we're looking for when trying to pick a winner. She has two top 10 finishes over the last three editions of the event, and outside of a 20th place finish at the U.S. Open, she has been playing fantastic golf.
She has finished eighth or better in four of her last six starts and her approach game has been absolutely dialed in. She gained 4.00 strokes on the field with her approach play at the Meijer LPGA Classic, 3.26 strokes on the field in that area at the PGA Championship, and it was also the strongest part of her game at the U.S. Open last week.
She's the first golfer on the odds list that I feel has betting value at their current price.
Lydia Ko +1800
She won this event both in 2014 and 2016, and has finished seventh or better in five of her last seven starts here. With this week's field being relatively top heavy with not much in terms of mid range contenders, it could be the perfect time for her to find her swing.
Baily Tardy +20000
Since the first two picks I'm making are in the top 10 on the odds board, let's take a chance here on a 200/1 longshot. Baily Tardy has never competed at this event and she hadn't done anything of note this LPGA season up until this past week's U.S. Open.
But, her performance at Pebble Beach alone is enough to take a shot on her at her current price this week. She led the entire field in strokes gained: approach and had her name at the top of the leaderboard heading into the weekend.
She didn't win, but she didn't collapse either, finishing in an extremely respectable tie for fourth.
Was this just a one weekend flash in the pan? Perhaps. But, at 200/1, I'm willing to take a chance that she found something in her swing and will be in contention at Highland Meadows Golf Club this week.
