Mac Jones is hoping to lead the 7-4 New England Patriots to their sixth straight win when they host the Tennesee Titans in Week 12. Jones will be facing off against Titans QB Ryan Tannehill in a rookie vs. veteran showdown.

While Jones has less experience, he certainly isn’t playing like it. The question is, can he outperform his counterpart on Sunday?  Let’s take a look over the prop odds at WynnBET Sportsbook and see who we like in Week 12 to have a day.

Mac Jones Passing Yards Total 228.5 (OVER -125/UNDER -115)

Mac Jones has been improving consistently over his rookie season under the tutelage of Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels. Jones found his groove once he started focusing on his short game but has been unleashed in recent games. Jones has his best game overall game two weeks ago against the Browns. He went 19-for-23 with 198 yards and three touchdowns. He also didn’t throw an interception which was an issue that plagued him in August. It was good to see him pull out of that rough patch and he has only thrown two interceptions in the last five weeks.

Despite his INT issues, Jones has averaged 230.9 yards per game passing which is pretty much where his line for this game is at right now. I have mixed feeling about Jones but the Titans are the 25th ranked pass defense in the NFL giving up 270.7 yards per game to opponents. In 2021, Jones has gone over his passing yards total in six of his 11 games I think this game is number seven.

Ryan Tannehill Passing Yards Total 215.5 (OVER -125/UNDER -115)

Tannehill had a great chance to snap back from a couple of bad games with a great Week 11 matchup against the Texans' shoddy defense. Instead, Tannehill threw four interceptions and the Titans lost for the first time in six weeks. Tannehill did manage to throw for 323 yards in the loss which for our purposes here would have been fine. But it took him 52 attempts to get there and he hasn’t thrown more than 40 only twice this season.

Tannehill shouldn't take all the blame for the offensive inefficiency with the team suffering from several injuries to the receiving corps. But Tannehill hasn’t looked good recently. This will be an issue playing against a Patriots defense that looks great right now. NE ranks sixth in the NFL in pass defense and allows just 229.6 yards per game passing.

So far this season, Tannehill has failed to go over 215.5 yards on five occasions. Three were early in the season but two came in the last three weeks. And last week’s yardage numbers are skewed because of so many attempts. Tannehill managed just 6.2 yards per play in that loss and 5.3 two weeks back against the Rams. The total feels low for him but he has been playing quite badly lately so ill take a lean on the under.
