MAC Tournament Preview: Prediction, Bracket, Odds, Standings and Schedule
By Matt De Saro
Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse will host the 2022 MAC Tournament this week to determine who will rep the conference in the NCAA Tournament this year. The MAC is a lot tighter at the top than most other conferences and has four teams with better than 10/1 odds to go all the way.
Toledo is the odds on favorite at +125 but Kent State (+320), Ohio (+400), and Buffalo (+725) are all worthy contenders. Ahead is all the information you will need to know to watch, bet, and beat the MAC Tournament.
Let’s start with the current odds at WynnBET Sportsbook.

MAC Conference Tournament Prediction and Pick
Ohio is a tricky team to take here because they really struggled down the home stretch. The Bobcats lost their last four games in a row and five of their last six. But, at the No. 3 seed, they would avoid having to play Toledo until the final game. Their first-round game will be against Ball State and I think could serve as a great warm-up game. The Bobcats beat the Cardinals by 24 points the last time they played and should pose little threat.
Lean: Ohio Bobcats +400
MAC Conference Tournament Dark Horse
According to TeamRankings, the Buffalo Bulls have a 13.1 percent chance to win the MAC Tournament and punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament with an automatic bid. The Bulls closed out the season on a 9-2 run but against some of the lower teams in the conference. They would likely have to face Toledo in the second round but I think that Buffalo has what it takes to step up and beat them. They have struggled to beat the top half to teams in the MAC but have looked much better in the last month of play.
Lean: Buffalo +725
