Detroit and Orlando have combined for only 14 wins this season, but one of them is guaranteed to pick up another win tonight. Orlando is on a seven-game losing streak, but has looked better as of late. Detroit has picked up three wins in its last 10 games and has shown more promise than Orlando in the new year.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see these two teams pick at No. 1 and No. 2 in the upcoming draft, but let’s see who can prove they have a leg up on the other tonight.

Here are the odds for the matchup via WynnBET.

Magic vs. Pistons Odds, Spread and Total

  • Magic +2 (-110)
  • Pistons -2 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Pistons -130

Total:

  • 212 (Over -110/Under -110)

Magic vs. Pistons Prediction and Pick

These are the two worst teams in the league, so anything can happen tonight. However, I’m taking the Magic to pull off the upset in this one. These teams net rating over the last five games is separated by 0.1 points, which in miniscule. Yet Orlando has played better as of late but has had a rough schedule.

The Magic lost to the Bulls by only four points, they were up big on the Sixers in the second half of their game and they had to play the Bucks last week. Detroit just got 140 points hung on it by Chicago, which shows me that their defense is still very weak.

Cade Cunningham has been great for the Pistons, but he won’t be able to stop Cole Anthony and Franz Wagner by himself. Even on the road, I’ll take Orlando to snap its losing streak.

Pick: Magic ML (+110)
