The 34-28 Toronto Raptors host the 15-48 Orlando Magic at 7:30 PM EST tonight in a bit of a slump. They're just 2-6 against the spread (ATS) over their last eight games and will be without All-Star Fred VanVleet for the fourth straight contest.

Orlando, on the other hand, has won two of three and covered the spread in three of five, but the competition has been poor.

Will Toronto right the ship in a convincing home win or does Orlando have the upper-hand with VanVleet out?

Here are the odds via WynnBET:

Magic vs Raptors Prediction and Pick

Neither squad has inspired a ton of confidence lately. The upstart Magic are going through the growing pains that come with playing almost-exclusively young guys. With Cole Anthony, Wendell Carter, Mo Bamba and rookie Franz Wagner leading the way, experienced is not exactly the first word you'd use to describe Orlando.

Toronto certainly has experience, championship experience at that, but they've been maddeningly inconsistent. They struggled to start the year then ripped off wins in 10 of 11 before settling into another couple weeks of problems.

The Raptors have failed to cover as home favorites in three straight but Orlando is just 2-5 in their last seven as a road underdog. Dig a little deeper though, and we can find value on the Magic.

Orlando's recent games on the road have been against brutal competition, facing the Nuggets, Suns, Jazz, Bulls, 76ers, and Mavericks. Talk about a murderer's row. But prior to that stretch, they were 7-1 ATS in their last eight as a road underdog.

With the state of the Raptors, they're not quite as good as those other teams the Magic have struggled against. I think Toronto wins, but I like the scrappy Orlando squad to keep it close.

Pick: Magic +8 (-110)
