To say the Orlando Magic have struggled over the last few weeks would be an incredible understatement. In fact, the Magic have been the worst team in the league of late. They are on an appalling nine-game losing streak heading into Wednesday night’s showdowns against the Washington Wizards.

This is the second time these two teams have played this week, after the Wizards won 102-100 on Sunday night. Terrence Ross led all scorers in that game with 32 points, but was unable to lead his team to a win. Tonight, the Magic will be desperate to turn things around after their recent string of bad luck.

Magic vs. Wizards Prediction and Pick

The Magic will try to win for the first time in 10 games tonight on the road. But, the cards are stacked against them. Orlando is the 28th ranked scoring offense at 101.7 points per game and the 28th ranked scoring defense at 110.9. Basically, they are going to be fighting tooth and nail every night to remain competitive with the roster they currently have.

It’s not as if the Wizards are a powerhouse team. Washington comes into this matchup one game over .500 at 21-20 and currently sits in third in the Southeast Division. They are, at least, within the top 20 of scoring offense and defense which is a lot more than can be said for their opponents tonight. In their recent win over the Magic, Kyle Kuzma led the charge with 27 points and a very impressive 22 boards. The Wizards had been struggling on defense recently, giving up almost 110 points per game, but held the Magic to 100 on Sunday. They will need a similar defensive performance to avoid an embarrassing upset tonight.

The Magic are a team in trouble. They have lost four in a row on the road and appear to be a rudderless ship.

The Wiz will also be without Bradley Beal for this game who tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday. With all of the offensive struggles these two teams have had, and with Beal’s absence, I can see this game being a low-scoring and ugly affair.

Pick: Magic & Wizards UNDER 216 (-110)
