The 2021-2022 English Premier League season is set to begin on Friday, and the city of Manchester is in for another exciting campaign.

After Manchester City and Manchester United finished 1st and 2nd in the EPL last season, both clubs are expected to have another year. City is the overwhelming favorite to win its fourth league title in five years, and United is predicted to be among the “best of the rest."

Manchester United Odds to Win English Premier League (+800)

It’s unlikely to happen consider how stacked Manchester City is, but United is one of four teams that might be able to give City a run for their money. Chelsea (+500), Liverpool (+550) and United (+800) are the only teams whose odds are within shouting distance, as the next closest team is Tottenham at +3000.

Crazier things have happened in the Premier League before, but I wouldn’t recommend a bet on United to win it all this season.

Manchester United Odds to Finish Top 4 (-350)

If you’re willing to lay the -350 juice, this bet is the one to make. After finishing in second place last season, there’s no reason why United won’t be able to finish in the top four once again. Without making many significant offseason moves, Manchester United is expected to put out a very similar squad to what they had last season.

Manchester United Total Points OVER/UNDER 75

WynnBET also has odds for how many points Manchester United will finish with. You can bet on the OVER 76 at +125, the UNDER 74 at +120, or between 74 and 76 at +500.

They finished with 74 points last season, which means oddsmakers are confident that we’ll see extremely similar results in the 2021-2022 EPL season.

Given how hot Liverpool finished last season, and the offseason moves made by Chelsea, I would take the UNDER 74 at +120 odds, but this bet is almost guaranteed to come down to the wire.

It’s clear that there’s a significant gap between the top four teams in the English Premier League this season and the rest of the pack. United fans will be happy to know that their club belongs in that upper echelon of teams, but catching up to City will be a challenge that will prove to be tough to conquer.
