Manchester United vs. Liverpool Prediction and Odds for Matchweek 9
By Thomas Snodgrass
In its last English Premier League contest in Matchweek 8, Manchester United took a loss to Leicester City at King Power Stadium in Leicester, 4-2. United may have already had their rebound win over Atalanta of the Italian Serie A in Tuesday’s 3-2 win at home in the UEFA Champions League.
After allowing two early goals to Atalanta, Man U would score three goals in the second half, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the game winner in the 81st minute.
Liverpool smashed Watford in its previous Premier League match, winning 5-0. Roberto Firmino would pick up a hat trick in the win.
Like Manchester United, Liverpool also won its Champions League match on Tuesday, defeating La Liga’s Atletico Madrid, 3-2. Mohamed Salah would score twice, including the game-winner in the 78th minute.
Liverpool (5-3-0) sits second on the table with 18 points and Manchester United (4-2-2) sits sixth 14 points.

Manchester United vs. Liverpool Prediction and Pick
United can celebrate their recent comeback win over Atalanta, but many concerns remain. They have failed to pick up a win in their last three Premier League matches; losing to Leicester City, tying with Everton at home, and losing at home to Aston Villa.
Liverpool's quality striking offense now leads the Premier League in goals and this Manchester United team doesn’t appear to be equipped to stop it. The best that Man U can do is try and keep up. With a 4-2-3-1 formation with Ronaldo up front, it doesn’t seem likely.
Mohamed Salah and the Reds should pick up the win on the road in Old Trafford.
I’m taking Liverpool on the three-way moneyline at +130.
