Maple Leafs vs. Bruins Prediction and Odds (Boston Looks to Take Hold of Third Place in Atlantic Division)
By Matt De Saro
One has to assume this is going to be a close game based on a few factors. First of all, the odds. They are as close to even as most games in the NHL get with a slight edge going to the home team. Second, these two teams have the exact same record at 41-19-5 and are deadlocked at third place in the Atlantic Division. Whoever wins this game will leapfrog the other in the standings.
However, there is one major difference between these two teams heading into tonight’s game in Beantown. The Maple Leafs are 4-4 in their last eight games while the Bruins are 7-1. The Bruins have lost just three games since Feb. 17 and have been one of the hottest teams in the NHL over the last six weeks.
Can they keep it going tonight at home or will the Maple Leafs come through as slight underdogs? Here are the odds for tonight’s matchup, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Maple Leafs vs. Bruins Prediction and Pick
Right off the bat, I have to point out that this will be the Maple Leafs' third game in the last four nights. They are coming off a big win on their home ice over the Florida Panthers, but fatigue has to be setting in. Meanwhile, the Bruins haven’t played since Saturday and will be on fresh legs. Boston is riding a four-game winning streak to boot. The pair have met once already this year with the Maple Leafs winning easily 5-2 in regulation.
The Bruins are really firing on all cylinders right now on both ends of the ice. Their top guys, David Pastmak and Brad Marchand continue to produce regular points on the wings. Their defense has allowed more than three goals just twice this month and they have just three losses in that span. At third in the Atlantic Division, Boston has work ahead of them to earn their spot in the playoffs. I think tonight they move one game closer to that goal at Toronto’s expense. Toronto has been struggling on the road and is 0-4 straight up in their last four away from home.
Pick: Bruins -130 to win
