The Seattle Mariners and Baltimore Orioles wrap up a three-game series tonight at 7:05 PM EST as both squads try to climb back into the playoff race.

Chris Flexen gets the start for Seattle after his finest performance of the season, outdueling Justin Verlander while limiting the Astros to one run in seven innings. He's struggled in May overall with a 5.47 ERA, but the Mariners hope this last outing was a sign Flexen will tap back into the potential he showcased in 2021.

Baltimore counters with Jordan Lyles, who has just a 3-4 record and 4.26 ERA but has been sublime at home. In four starts at Camden Yards, Lyles has a 2.10 ERA over 25.2 innings with only six walks and 23 strikeouts.

Can Lyles stay dominant at home or will Flexen build off his win over Houston to propel Seattle to a road victory?

Mariners vs Orioles Prediction and Pick

I like the Orioles to win as home underdogs here and frankly, I think they should be favored. Jordan Lyles has allowed more than three runs just one in his last six starts and has been tremendous at Camden Yards.

He has a 2.10 ERA in four home outings and has shut down vaunted lineups like the Red Sox and Yankees. With all due respect to Seattle, they're not quite as dangerous as Boston and New York.

Chris Flexen pitched well against Houston last week, but their offense was in a terrible dry spell and he still has a 5.47 ERA on the month. He's really struggled with command and at preventing home runs, giving up two in each of his three starts prior to the Astros win.

Seattle is 2-7 in Flexen's starts this year as he ranks in the 12th percentile in expected ERA. The Mariners just 3-7 in their last 10 as a favorite, and Baltimore has won three of five as a home underdog.

Back Lyles to continue his strong play at home while Flexen reverts back to a mistake-prone pitcher.

Pick: Orioles ML (+102)
