The Seattle Mariners seem to have eaten one of those mushrooms in Super Mario. They feel gigantic, powerful, and unbeatable.

With an 11-game winning streak and 19-3 record since June 19th, the Mariners are the hottest team in baseball and send one of the hottest pitchers in baseball to the mound today in Robbie Ray.

Ray has six consecutive quality starts, compiling a 0.92 ERA and not allowing more than four hits in a single outing in the process.

Texas turns to Matt Bush making his third start of the year in what will be a bullpen day. Bush hasn't thrown more than one inning a single time this season, meaning the Rangers' middling bullpen will play a huge role tonight.

Can Seattle stay scorching hot or will their mushroom wear off and give Texas a chance?

To find out, let's take a gander at the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook for this Mariners vs Rangers matchup:

Mariners vs Rangers Prediction and Pick

I'm surprised the Mariners aren't larger favorites here. They're on a tear, firming planting themselves in the Wild Card race and feature their best starter today. Robbie Ray looks like the 2021 Cy Young winner once again and is finally comfortable with his new team.

The Rangers mash left-handed pitchers, sure, but Ray already limited them to two runs over six innings back in April. And that was before he started actually pitching well!

If there's a concern, it's that Seattle hasn't exactly given Ray much run support. They've won five straight behind him despite only scoring two runs four consecutive times. That being said, Texas' bullpen isn't good enough to hold the Mariners down over nine innings and I expect Seattle to scratch enough runs across the plate to pick up the win.

I'll take the Mariners and the under here. It's hit in four straight starts by Ray and is 5-1 in the Rangers' last six as a home underdog. With unfavorable weather conditions, I expect another low-scoring Seattle win.

Pick: Mariners (-156) and Under 8.0 (-120)
