The Seattle Mariners look to keep the wins rolling against the Minnesota Twins today.

Yesterday's game ended 2-1, with the Mariners riding two first inning runs to victory. Minnesota never got going consistently against Seattle last season, going 2-4 against the Twins in their six matchups.

With a new pitcher on the mound and a top-dollar free agent in Carlos Correa, can the Twins bounce back in Game 2 and get their first win of the season?

Mariners vs. Twins Prediction and Pick

The Twins throw Sonny Gray out on the mound today, who's hoping to start this season differently than how last season ended. Gray lost three of his final five starts to end the 2021 season. On the other side, Logan Gilbert will be throwing for the Mariners. Gilbert didn't face the Twins last season, so this will be a fresh experience for everyone involved.

Minnesota's despite its potential fire power, was shut down yesterday. I expect the Twins to put the pieces together and get some runs going today. Gilbert went 6-5 last season, but he had an ERA over 4. He is certainly vulnerable to a lineup that has some power on it.

I think the same thing for Seattle. Sonny Gray isn't the ace he once was and can be rocked now. With how last season ended, expect the Mariners to be more active longer than just the first inning.

Lean: OVER 8.5 runs (-110)
