Marlins vs. Athletics Prediction and Pick

The start of Miami’s west-coast road trip has not gone to plan. The Marlins got swept by the Dodgers in L.A. and have now lost four games in a row. The A’s are actually playing quite well as of late for a 45-win team. They have won four of six and just won their series with the Seattle Mariners who seem to be playoff bound. 

Adam Oller has shared in the recent success in Oakland. He won his last start by going six innings and allowing just one run on five hits. It was by far the best start of his rookie season and may signal a turnaround for a pitcher with a 6.63 ERA. The A’s are 3-12 in games Oller has pitched in, but his ERA has gone down after all but one of his outings this season. Granted that ERA began at 33.75 after the first 1.1 innings of his career back on April 12. 

The Marlins seem to be really struggling. They are 2-8 in their last 10 games and I think those struggles continue tonight.
