Massachusetts vs. Fordham Prediction and Odds (Take Rams To Keep Rolling at Home)
By Joe Summers
The 13-14 Fordham Rams dropped both games last year to Massachusetts, but have been friendly to bettors this season as they hope for revenge when they host the 12-15 Minutemen tonight at 7:00 PM EST.
Fordham has covered the spread in four of its last five while the Minutemen haven't covered in any of their last six. Does the value lie with the Rams to stay hot or will Massachusetts continue their strong play against Fordham?

Massachusetts vs Fordham Prediction and Pick
Fordham has been one of my favorite teams to bet on all year. They're 17-10 against the spread (ATS), including a sparkling 11-3 at home. The Rams' offense is putrid, ranking just 332nd nationally per Bart Torvik in adjusted offensive efficiency, but their defense ranks 33rd as they've suffocated opponents in low-scoring victories.
The Minutemen are the inverse of Fordham. Their offense is 76th in efficiency but their defense is 338th as they've let everyone score all over them. Massachusetts has the 342nd-best 2-point defense and 329th-ranked 3-point defense, so even the Rams' woeful scoring attack should be able to put up points.
Massachusetts has been bad lately. At 0-5-1 ATS over their last six and with a 2-7 outright record on the road, they're slumping at a poor time to take on one of the best teams at covering the spread in all of college basketball. They do have the 10th-highest 3-point shooting percentage in the country, but Fordham's perimeter defense is a strength. The Rams are 56th in opposing 3-point shooting percentage and should be able to slow the Minutemen's outside attack down enough to pull away.
The Rams have covered in each of their last three games as a home favorite and I think they make it four in a row today. Give me Fordham -2 to improve to 12-3 ATS at home and I'd feel comfortable playing it up to -4.
Pick: Fordham -2 (-110)
