Are the Los Angeles Rams ready to get back to their high-flying offense in 2021?

According to WynnBET’s odds for the league’s passing yards leader, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is expected to shine in his first year in L.A., as he has the second-best odds to lead the NFL in passing yardage at +550.

Only Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott (+350) has better odds than Stafford, and it’s not surprising that the new Rams quarterback is expected to improve Los Angeles’ offense.

Last season with the Detroit Lions, Stafford threw for 4,084 yards and 26 touchdowns despite his top wideout, Kenny Golladay, only appearing in five games.

With an improved cast in Los Angeles that includes Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods, Stafford is poised to make the most of his first season in Sean McVay’s offensive scheme. McVay already thinks Stafford is going to elevate the entire offense and improve on last year where the Rams finished outside the top 10 in passing yards.

"I think the first thing you can tell, anybody that knows Matthew knows that it's not too big for him," McVay said. "He expects a lot of himself. I think he also understands how difficult this game is. In order to do things the right way, it's one week at a time. But it's not too big for him. He's played at a high level for a long, long time. He's going to raise the level of play of everyone around him. Guys are going to play well around him, and our jobs as coaches is going to be able to help bring out the best in these guys as well."

WynnBET has the Rams as co-favorites with the San Francisco 49ers to win the NFC West at +180 odds. The Rams, who went 10-6 last season, are actually only projected to win 10.5 games this season with the under (-120) as the favorite to the over (+100).

While that seems like a slap in the face considering the NFL is debuting a 17-game schedule this season, the projection seems to be indicative of the strength of the NFC West and competition that the Rams will face.

Stafford could be in line to have a career year in 2021, and if you like his odds to lead the league in passing, his MVP odds are enticing as well at +1500.
