Two quarterbacks are set to face their former teams when the Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions meet in Week 7.

The Lions traded long time quarterback Matthew Stafford for the Rams' Jared Goff this past offseason.

Since joining the Rams, Stafford has been in MVP form, leading the Rams to a 5-1 record, while Goff has struggled for the only winless team remaining in the NFL.

How should we handicap these two heading into Sunday with the Rams laying 16 points at WynnBET Sportsbook. Below, we'll analyze the two QB's passing yard props.

Matthew Stafford Passing Yards: 294.5 (Over -115/Under -115)

I love this over.

While Stafford has only cleared this in three of six games this season he is facing arguably the worst secondary in the league. Riddled with injuries, the Lions are last in Dropback EPA this season and will be going up against one of the most prolific passing offenses in the NFL

Los Angeles is second in passing success rate this season, and I expect this to be the point of attack for Sean McVay's offense.

It also doesn't hurt that Stafford will be facing his former team with a ton of motivation to show Detroit up.

Jared Goff Passing Yards: 263.5 (Over -115/Under -115)

Coach Dan Campbell was critical of his quarterback following the team's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals last week, and I'm not confident he will be able to clear this total despite playing from behind.

Goff has passed for 405 yards over the past two games and now will be facing Aaron Donald and the vaunted Rams defense that is allowing less than seven yards per pass attempt and is elite at limiting explosive pass plays.

This number is way too high for me, even if the game script may lead to a lot of Goff passes. There is also a chance that Campbell pulls the QB if he is ineffective again based on his comments last week, which would also help the under.
