It's time to put some respect on Max Homa's name.

Myself and FanSided's Cody Williams have preached over the past few months on our golf betting show, Green on the Greens, that Max Homa is the most underrated golfer on Tour. Cody put his money where his mouth is this week, making Homa is best bet to win.

Homa came through and won the 2022 Wells Fargo Championship at 40/1 odds. A $100 bet on Homa to win this week would have profited a nice $4,000 payout. The win puts the 31-year old in some elite company.

Max Homa's Win Solidifies Him as One of the Best on PGA Tour

Only nine golfers on the PGA Tour have 4+ wins since May 2019. Most of the names on the list are household professional golfers, major winners, and some who have been ranked No. 1 in the world. Now, Max Homa has been added to that list.

What are Max Homa's Odds to Win PGA Championship?

Max Homa won't be competing at this week's AT&T Byron Nelson, so the next time you'll be able to bet on him is next week's PGA Championship at Southern Hills.

If you head over to WynnBET, you can still bet on Homa to win his first major next week at +10000 (100/1). If you want to do it, bet it now because I guarantee those odds will change when the field is finalized next week.

Homa himself thinks he has a good chance to win. In his post-tournament press conference, he talked about his new found perspective on Tour and his chances to win his first major next week:

"It just doesn't phase me as much as I feel like it could because I know what bad is and my bad was going to be making a boatload of money and moving along to the PGA Championship in two weeks with a good chance to win if I keep playing like this."

It's about time we all start to respect this guy. At 100/1 next week, he's certainly worth a bet.
