Mercury vs. Liberty Prediction and Odds for Sunday, July 31 (Fade Mercury on the Road)
By Peter Dewey
The New York Liberty are in trouble, as they’ve lost eight of their last 10 games to fall to 10-18 on the season.
Now, the Liberty have to face a surging Phoenix Mercury team that has won six of 10 and back-to-back games heading into this matchup. The big issue for Phoenix has been its road record, going just 4-11 so far this season while playing 9-5 ball at home.
Phoenix needs this game for its playoff push, while the Liberty are all but out of it at this point in the season.

Mercury vs. Liberty Prediction and Pick
The Mercury haven’t won a road game since June 25, and they barely beat this Liberty team back on July 7, winning 84-81 at home.
New York isn’t playing well lately but it has also had a brutal stretch against playoff teams, facing the Chicago Sky, Connecticut Sun, Las Vegas Aces and Washington Mystics only in their last six games.
That’s a schedule anyone would struggle with, and New York’s 10th-ranked offense simply doesn't have enough firepower to keep up with some of those teams.
I actually think there is value in the Liberty here at even money, as the Mercury are a step below those teams.
Lean: Liberty ML (+100)
