There’s a new leader on top of the Defensive Player of the Year leaderboard – Micah Parsons.

Last year’s swiss army knife has somehow taken his game to another level this year, where he has spent a majority of his time as a pass rusher. Parsons showcased last season that you can line him up anywhere on the defense, but his true potential is starting to show as an edge rusher.

FanDuel has dropped his odds to win the award to +250, putting him above Myles Garrett (+600), Aaron Donald (+900) and Nick Bosa (+900).

Parsons is tied for second in the league in sacks (4) and has 10 total tackles on the season. He started the season with consecutive two-sack games, and even without one on Monday night against the New York Giants, Parsons’ impact was still felt.

Following T.J. Watt's injury, Parsons sat at +500, tied with Myles Garrett for the lead. It’s clear to the NFL and to the oddsmakers now that Parsons is the cream of the crop.

Last season, Parsons finished with 64 tackles, 13 sacks and the second-most votes for DPOY. He’s on track to crush his sack total from last year and with Watt (the player to beat him out) now hurt, Parsons is rightfully in the driver’s seat.

If he keeps playing like this, now is likely one of the few remaining times you can bet him with any sort of value.
