The Penn State Nittany Lions are 9-2 and likely headed to another 10-win season under James Franklin.

Last week, they throttled Rutgers, 55-10 and now host Michigan State at home to finish out the regular season.

The Spartans are 5-6 in Mel Tucker's third season in East Lansing. They were unable to build off their 11-2 record a year ago, but a win in the final week of the season to become bowl eligible would go a long way for the program to avoid rock bottom.

Let’s check out the odds as the Nittany Lions are a big favorite for the fourth straight week.

Michigan State vs. Penn State Prediction and Pick

This is another classic Penn State season. James Franklin loses to Ohio State and Michigan and then dominates the rest of the Big Ten. They are truly a team in between tiers in the conference. They can’t get over the hump to compete with those two powerhouse programs, but they can pretty much take care of business against everyone else. Following their 44-31 loss to Ohio State, they have pounded Indiana 45-14, Maryland 30-0, and Rutgers 55-10.

Last year, the Spartans beat Penn State at home, but this year they much more closely resemble Indiana, Maryland, and Rutgers. Michigan State is 90th in total offense and 103rd in total defense this season. Last week, they lost to Indiana 39-31 in overtime even while holding Indiana to 31 passing yards.

Penn State will roll in this game and finally end the Sean Clifford era at Penn State. He’s been a decent quarterback, but has never won a big game and it’s time to move on.

Pick: Penn State -18 (-110)
