Michigan vs. Rutgers Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for College Football Week 10

Michigan hits the road after being ranked No. 5 in the College Football Playoff rankings on Tuesday, will they make a statement on the road against Rutgers?

The Wolverines have been rarely challenged this season and are laying nearly four touchdowns in Piscataway, New Jersey, against a stingy Rutgers defense, can they hold up their end of the bargain and cash against the spread?

Michigan vs. Rutgers Prediction and Pick

Rutgers will be going to their highest quarterback recruit in school history, Gavin Wimsatt, for this one which may lead to some long term success for the Scarlett Knights, but not on Saturday against the vaunted Michigan defense.

While the Wolverines have benefitted from a relatively easy schedule, the defense has done nothing but dominated, allowing the third fewest yards per play and less than one point per drive. Rutgers offense is already severely limited, 117th in yards per play and bottom 20 in both explosive run and pass rate, and I don't expect the freshman to start slinging it on Saturday night.

I'll instead look to the under. Michigan has ran the ball at the 11th highest rate in the country this season and is outside the top 100 in plays per minute. The team will face a strong Rutgers defense that is top 10 in defensive line yards and top 20 in rush yards allowed per carry.

The Wolverines may do most of the scoring, but I think they put up a total in the 30's and this game stays under the total.
